Graduate applications and admissions

If you are a prospective student considering the Colorado School of Mines for graduate-level study, you are encouraged to visit the Office of Graduate Admissions for additional information BEFORE applying to CWP. The Office of Graduation Admissions can provide you with an overview of CSM graduate school application processes, as well as graduate academic programs, online application, graduate school application deadlines and arrange to visit the Mines campus.

Note: If you have not already, take the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations). GRE is a test administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS). Also, if your first language is not English, you may be required to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) to measure your ability to use and understand English.

Center for Wave Phenomena

If you are accepted into the Center for Wave Phenomena, you will work on your research with one of our faculty members (your CWP advisor). Upon admittance, first-year students are fully funded by CWP: university tuition, stipend for living expenses, use of CWP research equipment, etc.

As you make progress with your research and remain a CWP student in good standing, you will continue to be funded by CWP. Some other advantages and benefits of joining Center for Wave Phenomena are:
