We are pleased to announce that Dr. Eileen Martin, assistant professor jointly appointed to Geophysics and Applied Math & Statistics, has joined the CWP.

Dr. Martin’s research bridges the theory and application of distributed sensing, from collaborating with fiber-optic manufacturers to develop innovative sensor technology to scaling computational methods to petabyte-volume data analysis. Her research applies to a diverse array of environmental, energy, and infrastructure questions, including subsurface imaging of geothermal sites, earthquake detection, permafrost thaw, near-surface geotechnical characterization, mine safety, and glacier motion, which provides the opportunity to collaborate broadly across disciplines at Mines.

We welcome Dr. Martin to CWP and look forward to many future collaborations!.
