CWP congratulates Ph.D. student Ahmad Tourei who recently received two pieces of good news! His proposal was selected for The Geological Society of America’s Graduate Student Research Grant, and he was awarded an Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society Foundation Graduate Student Scholarship. In the summers, Tourei has interned at Fervo Energy and Halliburton. His research has included permafrost thaw monitoring, mining-induced seismicity, geothermal monitoring, and developing deep learning tools and open-source software for distributed acoustic sensing data.
